How to Get to Placencia

Miller's Landing is located two miles North of the Placencia airstrip and four miles North of Placencia Village.  This makes air transportation from Belize City the easiest method of transportation.  Tropic Air and Maya Air are the two airlines that run from Belize City to Placencia.  Miller's Landing can book your Tropic Air flights from Belize City.  The flight takes about 30 minutes and leaves from Belize International Airport and Municipal Airport frequently all day until dark. 

Car rentals are available from Belize City but the road to Placencia is often times hard to bear.  The roads are unpaved on parts and the rainy season makes driving even harder.  However the drive can be very beautiful.  To save money you can take the bus from Belize City to Placencia but the ride is long and hot.  Driving by bus or rent-a-car may require a night stay in Belize City to get a early start to Placencia.

Transportation from the Placencia airstrip to Miller's Landing is included in the room rate.  Getting around once your in Placencia is easy.  You can take a taxi, bike, walk or even kayak your way around.  Bikes and kayaks are complimentary at Miller's Landing.
